Asher turns 1 tomorrow, but we celebrated his birthday for the first time this last weekend with my side of the family. My Muzzy made him an adorable little lion cake. He soaked up the attention and loved the cake! This is just the first of planned celebrations for this very special little man!
I let him practice eating cake at Tyler's birthday and he knew just what to do. In fact, he is a pro!
Yum, this cake is pretty good! I think I will use both my hands to get it into my mouth!
Yeah, this birthday thing is pretty good!
After cake and some massive clean-up and undressing, it was time for some presents. But first Asher had to take a little rest on the dog bed. Seriously, this dog bed is more comfortable than my bed and I have a nice bed! It is memory foam. Dogs these days sure are spoiled!
He was also a pro at opening presents. One of his favorite past times at home is to take magazines and rip them into little tiny pieces. So ripping wrapping paper came naturally to him.

Oh look! Lightening McQueen! It is funny how he really doesn't sa very many words but he knows how to say, "Voomvoomvoom" and push a car around. I seriously think little boys are born with that sound prewired into their brain:-) Now on to the next party this Sat in Cody!

Looks like he had a blast! Love the one with his cake mouth wide open. Wish we could have been there. Hope he had a great real birthday yesterday.
