Laramie has "Jubilee Days" every year starting on the 4th of July and lasting throughout the week, but for some reason, we have never really done any of the things they have planned other then "Freedom has a Birthday" on the 4th. So this year, we decided to change that! On Friday, we went to the farmer's market in downtown and got some yummy yummy salsa as well as some home grown corn on the cob. Then we walked over to the carnival and Tyler rode his first ride ever! The Ferris wheel with his two buddies, Cody and David. They all had a great time but unfortunately, this mama didn't have her camera:-( So you will have to make your own picture of what three little 4 year olds looked like sitting high up in the air on a Ferris wheel, the first carnival ride for all of them! They were pretty happy!
Then on Saturday, we went to the parade after hitting a few garage sales. Just a side note, I think I am officially addicted to garage sales. Anyway, Tyler got some candy and got to see a ton of horses and vehicles. There weren't really that many floats as I think of floats, but it was fun none the less.
That night, we headed over the rodeo. We haven't been to a rodeo since before Tyler was born, so it was fun to go. David Winegar got us some FREE and awesome VIP tickets, so we got to enjoy a nice brisket and chicken dinner before the rodeo. Thanks so much David!! Here is the crew sitting in the VIP stands minus David, Tom, and Jo. We had a great time together and Tyler enjoyed watching the cowboys. Weston enjoyed watching the people sitting around. That kid can charm anyone!!
This is the rodeo clown being just that, a clown! He had this pony that he compared to a car. It was pretty cute! I got this pic and then my camera ran out of battery. So again, you will have to use your imagination for the rest of the rodeo. We were glad to try out a little more of what Jubilee Days is all about. I think we will have to keep going in the future!
