Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma/ Snowy Mountain Lodge

We always eagerly await the visits from Grandpa and Grandma! We have been blessed this year with several visits already since Grandpa has been working on Tom and Jo's new house. Near the end of January, Grandma got to come too and we got to have our Christmas celebration together. The boys were just a little excited!

Then the next day we headed up to the Snowy Mountain Lodge to share a meal with our small group and have some fun together. For those of you who don't know this, our church purchased the Lodge this last year and we use it for ministry opportunities as well as renting out the cabins in the winter. It is a great place to stay if you are ever interested! We got a ride to our cabins in the snow cat packed in with all the Martins. It was an unforgettable experience to be sure!

We had a double cabin with Bob and Lil and each cabin has 3 beds, 2 double beds and 1 queen. The kids get to sleep up in the loft which is very cool:-) It was a long night as Asher wasn't all that impressed with the sleeping arrangements and I forgot Weston's blanket, but the next day certainly made up for it! We got to play in the snow! Asher was a bit tired from not sleeping the night before so he decided to take a little nap on Grandma before we headed out. Unfortunately he already had all his snow clothes on (and so did Grandma) so they got a little hot!

Tyler, Cody, and I made a snow cave. Those 2 worked pretty hard!

Eventually they got a little rough and the whole thing came caving in, but while it lasted it was a great picture opportunity!

This one loves the snow and life in general!

Asher has even started having fun in the snow, although not nearly as much as his brothers. I will go for any smile I can get from him!
